Opera production
The production of an opera takes place in several different stages. Once an opera has been selected for performance by the artistic director, the conductor, director, soloists, chorus members, extras, dancers (if any) and orchestra members must all be engaged. Next, the technical staff must be hired: the rehearsal pianist, stage manager, make-up and hair team, seamstresses, supertitle designer, stage crew , and so on.
The scenery and costumes must be rented from another opera house, or designed and produced locally, the lighting must be planned, and the rehearsals must be scheduled .

After the preparatory rehearsals for the music and staging, four final
rehearsals are held on stage. To find out more about these rehearsals,
